BoyzNdaHood is dedicated to creating opportunities for youth and families to grow, learn, and succeed together. We provide safe, supportive environments where young people can explore career paths, build leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience through entrepreneurship and trade-skill programs.
We believe lasting impact starts with trust, consistency, and access. Our programs are designed to create stability and opportunity by connecting families to essential resources, offering guidance during critical moments, and creating spaces where youth feel seen, supported, and motivated. Through collaboration and community-driven solutions, we help build pathways toward growth and long-term success.
Program Overview
BoyzNdaHood has been committed to helping youths from a broad spectrum of geographic areas, with an emphasis on intervention for those who live in high-crime, low-income areas. This is accomplished by offering professional development, life skills training, and mentorship, as well as by creating spaces and holistic approaches to improve their general well-being and quality of life. Our mission is to help children who might have felt "last but not least," and to provide them with positive experiences. We have developed programming aimed at addressing the impact of socioemotional problems, academic difficulties, financial struggles, and home displacement. BoyzNdaHood will help families that are unaware of the resources and other programs that are available by working to develop and enhance relationships with additional organizations and local business owners that can offer assistance. It truly takes a village!

BoyzNDaHood Foundation envisions a future where youth from high-crime areas in Oakland have access to the guidance, skills, and opportunities needed for personal and professional success.

Workshops
We offer hands-on entrepreneurship workshops that inspire young people to explore business ownership and career skills. Our past workshops have included barbering, entrepreneurship, mechanics, and financial literacy, with many more on the way. Our mission is to empower youth through education, skill-building, and real-world experiences.

Training
Our trade-skill training programs provide youth with hands-on experience in real workspaces, equipping them with essential skills and preparing them for future careers.

Education
Financial literacy education prepares young individuals for sound management of their resources.

Support
We create safe spaces that promote community connection and allow families to thrive together. Our programs provide ongoing support, including check-ins, leadership development, transportation assistance, food and nutrition support, and counseling services.
